2026 Finalist for Canada’s Safest Construction Employer
We are proud to share that Strike Group has been shortlisted as an Excellence Awardee in the ‘Canada’s Safest Construction Employer’ category at the 16th annual Canada’s Safest Employers Awards, presented by Canadian Occupational Safety.
This national recognition is a direct result of the outstanding work done by our teams every day on all of our worksites, who choose to put safety first. Our submission highlighted a range of initiatives that strengthen our safety culture, and spotlighted the efforts of our frontline crews, HSE leaders, and entire Strike team, including:
- Safety and violence & harassment training during onboarding
- Easy access to SWPs, SJPs, and resources via our HSE Resource Library QR code
- Mentorship, hands-on training, and support to strengthen safety knowledge
- Mental health and suicide prevention education through presentations, guest speakers, and fundraising campaigns
- Regional Health & Safety Committees for employee-driven feedback and improvement
- Monthly Safety Ambassador awards that spotlight individuals living our safety values
- Strong employee benefits, including Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
- Annual “Fresh Start” meetings to reset safety goals and share lessons learned
- Leadership visibility through active field engagement and inspections
The winners will be officially announced at the awards ceremony on October 22, 2026. Being recognized alongside so many respected organizations is an honour and a reflection of the dedication our people bring to safety every day. While awards are appreciated, our greatest achievement is continuing to strengthen a culture where everyone looks out for one another and goes home safe.
